| Thanks for visiting us at K's Note-A-Bul Bulldogs....... We are Rudy and Karan Kilgus and make our home in Congerville , Illinois . Rudy and Karan Kilgus have been exhibiting the Bulldog for 26 years and found instant success with their very first Bulldog, Quincy. Quincy was only shown for 3 months before he finished at the age of 11 months. This show-stuff was a snap!!! Right.....they never finished another champion for nearly 6 years when they championed 3 of Quincy’s pups! Since then they have been honored to love, be loved, and to show many wonderful dogs. They have 20 champions, 19 of which are home-bred, and only 2 of those champions have been owned and shown by other people. Rudy and Karan are truly breeder/owner/handlers. Rudy is President of the Corn Belt Kennel Club, a local all-breed club in Bloomington, IL. Karan is A.K.C. delegate to that club as well as the club’s newsletter editor. Both Rudy and Karan have served as officers for the Bulldog Club of Greater St. Louis. Karan is a member of the Chicago Bulldog Club, is a BCA Division II councilor, and is also editor of the Division II newsletter.Rudy is an AKC Bulldog judge and also judges all-breed Junior Showmanship.Karan also has her Bulldog license and judges all-breed Junior Showmanship as well as several other non-sporting breeds. Rudy and Karan have 3 grown children and 1 teen-aged granddaughter. They spend their “free time” (Rudy is a custom cabinet maker and Karan recently retired from the travel industry after 40 years) serving on club committees and working for the Heart of Illinois Cluster of Dog Shows. They both attend and instruct training classes and still enjoy exhibiting their Bulldogs as well as judging. |
